Photos shot by Neil at beautiful Percy Warner Park. This was a fun afternoon to spend outside, the weather was perfect and everywhere we turned was another pastoral setting, right in the middle of Nashville. The little purple weeds dotted an entire hillside, which made me think of visiting the wind-swept moors of Haworth as a kid (although Nashville is not as pretty and quite a bit warmer). All of this scenery makes me miss living in the country.

More photos here. Lookbook items hitting the shop soon!

etsy shop update! picnic friendly.. straw hats and seersucker dresses

vintage chambray floral dress

1960's mod medallion romper

vintage yellow bow straw hat

1960's lace bow chemise

Etsy update! These items as well as a peter pan collar seersucker dress and an airy, romantic white lace blouse.

Well, thankfully we came home to Nashville yesterday without any major problems. Our house is on a hill, so everything was safe and dry and just as we left it. The same can't be said of most of Nashville, so we feel really blessed. Some people are still stranded in hotels or busy repairing basements or businesses, which makes me want to investigate what I can do to help. If any of you are interested in helping out, whether you're around the area or not, check out Hands on Nashville, a volunteer group that's doing a lot of good around the city.

Hope you are all safe and dry!

Blue and white together are perfect for spring. I thought this outfit would be a great chance to debut my Madewell sandals!

I found the white trousers at Goodwill and took in the waist so they'd fit. The hips are still super big, but that could be a good thing. I cut them shorter tonight and plan on pressing and cuffing them properly.

Neil and I are leaving for Illinois to visit our college friends tomorrow! We'll be there for the weekend - I can't wait. We've been running around like crazy getting things ready today. We're going to eat food and be lazy all weekend. It's what we're good at.
