Here it is.. Blooming Leopold's vintage spring 2011 lookbook! All of my favorite finds of the season, stored away until today. These pieces are all headed to the shop tonight, handpicked vintage from the late 1930s all the way to the early 90s. Eyelet lace, seersucker, madras plaid, chambray, liberty print cotton, creamy silk. Photos shot by Neil at beautiful Percy Warner Park. This was a fun afternoon to spend outside, the weather was perfect and everywhere we turned was another pastoral setting, right in the middle of Nashville. The little purple weeds dotted an entire hillside, which made me think of visiting the wind-swept moors of Haworth as a kid (although Nashville is not as pretty and quite a bit warmer). All of this scenery makes me miss living in the country.
More photos here. Lookbook items hitting the shop soon!
Here is a glimpse of my next outfit post.. I received this floral crocheted doily from Meaghan when we made an Etsy trade last winter, and I decided to cut it up and make it into a wreath for my hair. I love the little pink flowers. I found it also makes a good addition to a straw hat, so I'm happy. The inspiration for this outfit comes from a Peter Weir film I've heard a lot about from amazing bloggers like Rhi and Anja. It's on Netflix Instant Queue right now, so I snatched it up and watched it this morning. It's filled with pretty white dresses, boater hats, and terror (it's the middle of the day and I'm still really spooked), and it's a member of the Criterion Collection. Can you guess the film?
