This past weekend, I had a lucky opportunity to sell some vintage with a bunch of really talented girls (and guys!). Libby Callaway is not only the owner of Diamond Star Halo Vintage or writer for countless newspapers and magazines. She's also the host of the Fanny's Choice sales, where tons of vintage vendors get together and share what they've got in East Nashville. This season featured many of my favorite sellers - Carmen, Anna, Shea, T&P.. and I was really honored to have been asked to be a part of it all!

I met some lovely bloggers and artists along the way - Omar and his girlfriend Natalie, pretty Zarna, perfect Fab, and two lovely Australian sisters who are touring with Casiotone for the Painfully Alone. Some fun actresses even made an appearance, bought our stuff, and met us for drinks afterward.

All in all, it was a really wonderful time.. and we'll be doing it all over again in about a month or so! Keep your fingers crossed for a holiday sale.

I'll be honest.. today was the absolute worst day to wear a cable knit turtleneck sweater. I think our truck said it was about 94 degrees outside around the time that Neil and I pulled over in East Nashville to take some quick photos.. oh well. This sweater will be a staple of my wardrobe in another month or so.

We're headed to Atlanta in the early, early morning (in about four hours)! Birthday celebration!!

a birthday celebration

Neil turned 23 yesterday! We began Neil's birthday celebration last night by going out to City House (officially our favorite Nashville restaurant) and enjoying housemade sausage and margherita pizza with arugula. And chocolate bourbon gelato. Today, we spent time in East Nashville shopping for records (new Dead Weather and old Led Zeppelin!) and vintage clothes. We had a late breakfast at Marche (how do I add accents on Blogger?), did some cheese and olives picnicking, and finished the day with dry-aged beef with morels and Westvleteren 12, a Belgian beer that Neil loves.

In other words, a completely food-centered, really romantic, perfectly laid back day.

I found a ruffle sleeved mint green blouse at the Hip Zipper in East Nashville as well as a carpet bag. I'm planning on pairing the green blouse with the chambray bloomers I made last week.

And speaking of chambray.. I didn't have enough time to make the romper I had plans to for Neil's birthday, but I will be making it in the morning for a fun blogger meet up tomorrow night!

Hope you're having a great weekend!
