With the summer approaching, Neil and I have made it a goal to hit as many food trucks in Nashville as possible. And there are maaaany.

While we were headed to Mas Tacos (a favorite of ours) the other day, we passed a brightly colored truck parked not far from our house. It was Barbie Burgers, a truck we hadn't seen before.. we decided to stop and give it a try.

We both had the classic cheeseburger with a mix of regular and sweet potato fries, and it was delicious. The lady who helped us spoke of fancier concoctions they'll soon be serving - ideas that were all mouthwatering - but I was satisfied to try a good, old fashioned burger. We grabbed our food to go and took it home to eat on the couch.

I'm sure you'll be seeing more evidence of our food conquests this summer. It's that festival, outdoors-y time again, when Nashville throws music parties on the courthouse lawn (!) and this food truck trend goes into full swing. I'm so thankful to retire my winter coats and wear crop tops again.
