It's A Blessing Giveaway!

I am so excited to share with you, my dear readers, a lovely  Etsy store called It's a Blessing. This is not just your average Etsy store---no, it is not, there there is a LOT more than meets the eye----everything this lovely mom sells has meaning and purpose! The Lord laid it on this mom of 7's heart to bless, encourage and love women who were pregnant in her church and who might not get a baby shower and since then she has literally been blessing soooo many. Take this beautiful bracelet for example:

Each bead you see displayed here has meaning and co-ordinate with the verses in Proverbs 31.
Here is how it works:
A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies (red beads).
Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. (silver heart-he loves her)
She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. (yellow bead-reminder of sun-days) She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands, and so forth  (Read the rest of it here.)

This bracelet coordinates with the verses from Matthew 7:7-12 and comes with what each bead represents printed on pretty cardstock! Here is what it says:
"Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; (blue eye beads) knock and the door will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone?(stone beads)
Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? (fish bead)
If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children,
how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him! (gift dangle)
So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, (heart-to love others)
for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.”

They even sell  the sweetest children's bracelets!

Children Blessing Bracelet Psalm 66---$13

This also comes with a pretty cardstock printup of the meaning of each significant bead that you can read here. What a wonderful way to teach scriptures to your child and/or help them to remember the Lord in their lives.

I am an avid lover of books, so this beauty caught my eye.  I used to have one similar to this beauty except mine had a beautiful fan and pink tassel on it. I would LOVE to get another one of these, because I really love how they look. This also comes with a pretty cardstock print up of the verses.

I had to include this special blanket. Not only is it beautifully handmade but each row and color has meaning for the the little baby that receives this wonderful and unique gift that will be cherished for years to come. It comes with an 8x10 white framed description in color of the following:

Blue: The Star stitch. Dear baby, we pray that you will: "Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe." Philippians 2:14-15

Pink: The rosette stich. Dear baby, we pray that you will not worry-but will remember how God has clothed the flowers of the field and that you will "seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well." Matthew 6:33

White heart: Dear baby, above all we pray that you will "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength." Deuteronomy 6:5

Now this is a very, very special blanket. This is a blessing blanket for a mom who has lost a baby due to miscarriage. For those of us who have miscarried, we know the pain of not having something to hold or to remember our lost babies. This blanket would make a wonderful gift as a reminder for those who have lost one and includes a special poem that was written, and inspired by the Lord, to bless and help heal the hurt of Mommies who have lost a baby. The poem is written to the Mommy and Daddy from the baby's perspective who is now "safe and warm in the loving arms of Jesus". The blanket is the baby's gift to Mommy and Daddy to "hold on to, cry into, cling to.. to remember I am not alone - I am warm and safe and loved."

The poem is printed on white cardstock, ready to be framed if you choose. The blanket is a beautiful, soft, white yarn with shiny specks. The lacy border is detailed further with delicate white ribbon, tied in a bow at the corner. Keep in mind, this blanket is small. It is meant to be from a baby who was not carried to full term, and therefore is preciously little. It measures 12 inches by 10 inches. It is $7.50
