First... a thousand thanks to the wonderful people who left comments on my Friday Post, (here), the one in which I whinged about being stuck in a house-staging rut at That Old House, following the staging and sale last year of our former house.
Your comments have inspired me to take hold and make this house my own, in my own way. Bless you all -- even my husband Howard, who also commented. I'm getting my confidence back!
So I am sharing a couple of small metamorphoses -- late in the day because I was taking my Dad to the dentist, pretty much an all-day commitment.
-- OK, a couple of minor changes at That Old House --
From the Friday post, my dining room sideboard, before:

And my dining room sideboard, after I shopped the house, and bought a pot of Hedera Ivy at the grocery store:
Not perfect yet, but an improvement, no?
(Connie and Dion insisted that I needed more dogs in my decorating.)

And looky here ... GASP! A personal photo. Very personal; it's me.
(About a hundred years ago; remember when wedding gowns had sleeves?)
Same old table, after changing the lamp, angling the table in the corner of the room, and adding a few bits and pieces from around the house, including some flowers left from Easter:
Better?
it's got a pencilled price on the bottom: ten cents. Like mother, like daughter!
I'm on a roll.
Watch out, all you bits and pieces that have rested comfortably in your cozy
moving boxes since last May; Mama's gonna put you to work!
Yesterday Howard and I went to the closest Goodwill Store -- we had never been there before. I got a few neat things, amazingly cheaply, including this little blue something-or-other (the Blue for Blue Monday):
It's tin, like a narrow bucket, with a handle, and it will end up in the room that has
Benjamin Moore Wythe Blue, on the walls.
And that room is the hall bath, and it's almost ready for a Met Monday post -- as it goes from this:
with this:
and this:
and this:
... and those "in-progress" pictures should be "all done" pictures by Monday,
and be ready for "the reveal" as they say on TV. Yay for bathrooms reborn!

Tomorrow, Tuesday -- my other Goodwill finds, and some other proofs positive that you don't need a fat bank account to decorate your way!
Have a lovely evening! -- Cass
